The Department of Social Services (DSS) is undertaking a review of Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031 to make sure it is working as planned, and to see if there is anything that should be changed or added to the Strategy.
This review will also consider the recent recommendations made as part of the Disability Royal Commission.
DSS is seeking public feedback to inform the review and has released a discussion paper to support this process (available in standard, Easy Read and Auslan formats).
The public consultation closes on Friday 6 September 2024.
Consumers Health Forum (CHF) is considering making a submission to the review, focusing on the ‘health and wellbeing’ outcome area within the Strategy and is welcoming input from the public to inform their response.’
If you have any feedback on the Strategy and how it could be improved, particularly in relation to health, allied health and mental health, please contact CHF Policy Officer Naomi Thomson at [email protected] by Friday 23 August 2024
To inform your input, you may wish to read the final report of the Disability Royal Commission.
