A unique opportunity is about to present itself to the Central Coast community – the United Nations is coming to town to hear from residents about the impacts of the region’s coal-fired power stations.
Future Sooner, the community group that has been working to raise awareness of the serious health impacts of coal ash will present an afternoon with special United Nation (UN) representatives and local concerned community groups
This is a community action for a safe, healthy, desireable place to live and play.
The community is invited to the meeting with UN representatives to be held on Tuesday, 29 August from 1pm to 3pm at the Chain Valley Bay Community Hall.
Turn at Tall Timbers Rd. (Woolworths) & right into Scaysbrook Ave.
Issues of concern from specialist guest speakers including Doctors and Lawyers are Regional Health issues (Cancers, blood disorders, asthma), environmental impacts on lakes and ecosystems through heavy metal contamination, air pollution, coal ash dams, legal matters and requirements needed by the government, as announced for a healthy future of the Central Coast and beyond.
