On Friday, 19 July, 2024 Bunjileenee elder, Uncle Robbie Thorpe, will take King Charles III to court on changes of genocide to test whether Aboriginal people are allowed to prosecute Charles Philip Arthur George Windsor in the white courts for ongoing genocide offences.

Uncle Robbie Thorpe, Krautungalung Elder, is suing the Attorney-General of Victoria.

The case, to be heard in the Supreme Court of Victoria, is being described as historic.

According to Camp Sovereignty, this case challenges the legal frustrations that have prevented Aboriginal people prosecuting genocide crimes in Australian courts and whether high-ranking officials, including King Charles III, can be immune from such prosecutions.

It aims to address past and ongoing injustices against Aboriginal people in Australia.

Uncle Robbie Thorpe asserts that the current legal framework perpetuates the destruction of
Aboriginal communities by denying their sovereignty and failing to recognise their right to
prosecute genocide crimes.

He emphasises the need for laws that truly reflect justice and accountability, without exceptions for high-ranking officials.

This case asks a crucial question: can Aboriginal people prosecute King Charles III in Australian courts for ongoing genocide?

Uncle Robbie argues that any law allowing for the genocide of Aboriginal people is invalid under the Australian Constitution.

He also says it’s unconstitutional to stop Aboriginal people from prosecuting genocide crimes.

Main Points:
* Any law that permits genocide against Aboriginal people is illegal.
* Laws stopping Aboriginal people from prosecuting genocide are unconstitutional.
* Implementing international genocide laws in Australia is invalid unless Aboriginal people can
prosecute non-Aboriginal offenders.

The outcome could set an important precedent for how Australian law handles issues of
genocide and Aboriginal rights.
